Clionadh High Voltage Highlighter Review & Swatches

by Jeremy

Clionadh High Voltage Powder Highlighter ($15.00 for 0.21 oz.) has a translucent base chocked full of duo chromatic shimmer that shifted from more excellent green to warmer chartreuse green paired with a metallic sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage in a single layer, though it could be applied with a lighter hand or more feathery brush for a sheerer application of the product. The texture felt soft and smooth to the touch with light creaminess, which prevented it from being powdery. It applied evenly to my skin and diffused well along the edges without emphasizing my skin’s texture. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview

$12.50/0.21 oz. – $59.52 Per Ounce

There’s not much that describes the formula other than it has a “soft, buildable application.” They tended to be quite pigmented–semi-opaque to fully opaque–with soft, smoother textures that weren’t too dense nor too softly pressed into the pan. I’d highly recommend using a lighter hand with a less-dense brush for a sheerer or more buildable application.

The texture was typically smooth, slightly dense, and a bit thicker than most powder highlighters on the market, so they often needed to be buffed and diffused on the skin. The finishes were often more intense, leaning toward metallic, and occasionally, they emphasized my skin’s natural texture when worn at higher coverage levels. They wore between eight and nine hours on me for the most part.
