Urban Decay Local & Love Trap Vice Hydrating Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

Urban Decay Local Vice Hydrating LipstickUrban Decay Local Vice Hydrating Lipstick ($19.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a light-medium mauve with subtle, cool undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied evenly but settled slightly into my deeper lip lines, though it wasn’t enough to be very noticeable in person.

The texture was smooth, like a creamy, melting balm on my lips, making it comfortable to apply and wear. It stayed on well for three hours and was moisturizing.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to be “super-pigmented,” “hydrating,” and “long-lasting.” There are three finishes: cream, matte, and shine, and the way they feel, apply, and wear does depend on the finish, so I’ve broken the overview down by finish. The Matte finish is comparable to the original Comfort Matte finish in the Vice Lipstick formula. They have a creamy, smooth consistency with more of a satin finish than an authentic matte finish.

They will wear down to a semi-matte to a matte finish as some shine gets worn down. They were typically opaque, fairly forgiving of imperfections on the lips, and wore between four and six hours. A couple of shades, usually on the lighter end of the color spectrum, were more prone to settling into my lip lines.
